Oregon vs. Oxford

When Oxford University’s team toured the United States, one stop was Eugene. On that November evening, more than 2,500 locals crammed into Villard Hall to witness Oregon defeat the English visitors on the question of the referendum. The sheer size of the crowd showed how central debate had become to Oregon’s public life.
