The First Forensics Society

Just ten days after the University of Oregon opened its doors, students wasted no time forming a debating society. At a school of fewer than 200 students, this group became the social and intellectual heartbeat of the new campus. From the beginning, forensics wasn’t just an extracurricular — it was the stage where future leaders tested their ideas and honed their voices.
